After completing his enlistment in the United States Air Force as a pilot, he began a thirty-year career in healthcare spending twenty-years as a hospital CEO. An avid fisherman, he won several marlin and sailfish tournaments in Florida and the Bahamas. He and his wife enjoyed island life and bought a small hotel in the Bahamas, which will be another story some day. The laid-back life style inspired him to start writing short stories. Literary and commercial magazines published ten of his stories. The Key West Theatre Festival selected his play "Oh, Danny Boy the Pipes Have Played." His sixth novel "Paradise Lost" is about a Key West family drawn into Castro's Revolution, and it has been accepted by the Pulitzer Prize Board for consideration in 2007. A former member of the Dramatists Guild in New York and past president of the Key West Writers Guild, he is the current president of the Treasure Coast Writers Guild. He and his wife, Marilyn, reside on the Treasure Coast of Florida.
